July 11, 2002

The exhausted choristers arose to a beautiful day with the sun shining and a cool breeze.  After prayer and breakfast, the choir attended one last rehearsal before performing at the Feast of St. Benedict Mass in St. John's Abbey Church.  At the mass, several monks celebrated their jubilee years of 25, 50 and 60 years as monks at St. John's Abbey.

After mass the choir joined for a closing prayer and sang several songs for the parents gathered in the choir rehearsal room.  After this final performance (joined by several NCYC alumni) the choir said their goodbye's and headed for home.  Since these ladies and gentleman can only be in NCYC for a maximum of three year from 10th to 12th grade, we will have to say goodbye to some that have been with us from the beginning.  However, in saying goodbye to the now alumni makes room for all the new talent displayed by our first year choristers.  Thanks for the great year NCYC and we hope to see everyone again!

A rare site, all five of the bells chiming.
